As host of DC Pagan Pride Day, Connect DC would like to extend our gratitude to the generous 2016 DC PPD Sponsors: Central Maryland Pagans, Fellowship Beyond the Star, Fellowship of the Ancient White Stag, Four Quarters Farm, Gryphons Grove School of Shamanism, and Theophania Temple of Athena and Apollone. Thank you so much for your support!
Central Maryland Pagans provides a safe, welcoming environment for like-minded people. We regularly hold social events and outings, discussion groups, workshops, classes, and rituals. We are not a spiritual tradition and welcome all seekers.
Fellowship Beyond the Star
The Fellowship Beyond the Star aims to provide a safe space for Pagans of a non-Wiccan bent to discuss their path and religious/spiritual interests. We are welcoming of all faiths and do not wish to promote an anti-Wiccan atmosphere; however, we have noted there is a strong concentration of Wicca-related groups in the DMV area and our hope is to provide a space for individuals of other paths to discuss and concentrate on our non-Wiccan paths.
FAWS is a coven of the Assembly of the Sacred Wheel serving DC, Virginia, and Maryland since 2006. We primarily meet for ritual and classes in Kensington, Maryland.
Our emphasis is on self-development and connection with deity through guided meditations, pathworkings and embodiment of the divine. We are devoted to service – to the community, to the land, and to the divine. We follow a code of ethics, which includes the Wiccan Rede, a willingness to teach others, and the importance of honoring the Earth and its inhabitants.
In our circle, we celebrate the Wheel of the Year and include the teachings of the Eastern and Western traditions such as Qabala, astrology, meditation, Shamanic journeying, divination, chant, mantra and more.
Gryphons Grove is located in Silver Spring, Maryland, outside of Washington, DC.
Whether you are drawn to the ancient traditions of Earth Spirit or seeking a vibrant community of people from all walks of life; whether you are searching for a retreat or a place for ceremony…we are here.
To serve its vision, Theophania structures its activities along three lines:
- Rituals designed to strengthen the relationships between Athena, Apollon, and their retinues with humanity, including rites that serve the aims of these Great Ones, such as rituals that promote the spiritual evolution of humanity or the integrity of the processes of the polis.
- An oracle of Apollon so that He may speak directly using the body of His mantis.
- The rebirth of the Neoplatonic philosophical school and tradition within a contemporary Pagan context, embodying a truly Pagan approach to the quest for wisdom and Truth that blends logic, mysticism, abstract thought, and practical life applications for the individual and the polis.
